Position Details: Senior React Developer

As a Senior React Developer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining modern, secure, and highly reliable web applications that support healthcare platforms.  You will collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, UX/UI designers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver patient-facing and clinician-facing experiences that meet the highest standards for performance, accessibility, and compliance.

This role is hands-on across the full frontend development lifecycle, from design and architecture through implementation, deployment, and production support.  You will contribute to frontend technical direction, promote best practices, and help ensure our applications meet the strict requirements of regulated healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain responsive, performant, and accessible web applications using React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Implement complex user interfaces and workflows for healthcare use cases such as patient portals, dashboards, scheduling, and clinical data visualization
• Build reusable, maintainable, and testable UI components aligned with established frontend standards
• Contribute to frontend architecture decisions, including state management, data-fetching strategies, and performance optimization
• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
• Implement secure authentication and authorization flows (OAuth2, JWT, SSO)
• Ensure applications meet healthcare requirements related to security, privacy, accessibility, and auditability
• Follow best practices for handling sensitive health data (PHI)
• Participate in code reviews, refactoring efforts, and enforcement of coding standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and clinical requirements into technical solutions
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation, and technical discussions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior frontend developers as needed
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving frontend issues in production environments

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience
• Strong proficiency in React and JavaScript / TypeScript
• Experience with state management solutions such as Redux, Zustand, React Query, or similar
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern CSS frameworks
• Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Experience deploying or operating applications in Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG), particularly for healthcare applications
• Awareness of frontend security best practices for handling sensitive data
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in collaborative, cross-functional teams
• High attention to detail, particularly in regulated environments

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in healthcare, health tech, or other regulated industries
• Experience with Next.js or server-side rendering (SSR)
• Familiarity with design systems and component libraries (MUI, Ant Design, Chakra UI, etc.)
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and frontend deployment strategies
• Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, or other healthcare data standards
• Experience with front-end performance monitoring and analytics tools
